Filed under Children's Nutrition | Posted by admin

Every parent cares about what his/her child eats, since a healthy living diet nutrition is the key element for the harmonious growth of any human being. Kids tend to disagree with grown-ups in terms of diet too, just as it happens with so many other things. It takes a lot of work, patience and diplomacy to actually satisfy good nutrition for kids. Consider the following suggestions for your kid’s main meals:

Breakfast

Nutrition for kids equals good energy levels. Breakfast is supposed to provide your child with enough nutrients to get him/her through the intense activities of the morning. And you can’t count on a donut for that. Instead, make some breakfast drinks with milk, vanilla and some teaspoonfuls of honey. Wheat germs, apple juice and orange juice make a great combination. Other suggestions here include whole-grain muffins, hard-boiled eggs and finger food vegetables.

Lunch

This is where you have to be creative. Nutrition for kids raises problems because children can throw away, trade or give food away. The more boring lunch seems, the higher the chances that the child won’t eat it. You can make the child look forward to lunch, and creativity helps a lot. Tuna fish and salmon with some vegetables are a good combination. Some children prefer peanut butter sandwiches with chopped dates, raisins, nuts or bacon; cut the sandwiches into nice shapes and you’ll see how good they taste.

Snacks

When children come back from school, they are certainly in need of an energy boost. And although sweets seem the closest at hand, you should avoid sugar as much as possible. Dried fruit are great for the occasion combined with sunflower seeds, dates, coconut shavings and pretzel sticks. Popcorn can also make a great snack. And the same can be said about whole wheat crackers with cheese.

Dinner

Dinner is the best time to make nutrition for kids complete, because it allows you to create a balanced diet. Let your children taste everything that is on the table because that’s the best way to make them actually eat what they like. If the food seems interesting and attractive, children will eat it with pleasure.

There are many ways to manage nutrition for kids adequately. If you do your homework well and you cook good meals, there should be no problem. Home food has all the premises of providing all the nutrients necessary for body growth, unlike highly processed or junk food.
