Healthy Nutrition: The Best Breakfast Choices

Filed under Healthy Nutrition | Posted by guest author

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, in spite of this knowledge, many of us still fail to follow this important rule. This is especially true for those of us who work in an office environment. Anyone who has ever worked in an office or a bank knows that the common room is almost always equipped with morning pastries and doughnuts. This is how many of us adopt poor eating habits. In this article I will provide several breakfast choices which prove nutritionally healthy for any working person.

First of all, as a part of a well balanced breakfast it is important to consume fruit and vegetables. You can make your very own fruit smoothie or simply peel and eat the fruit in its entirety. Another important part of a healthy breakfast is whole grains. Whole grain bagels, whole grain rolls, whole grain bread, low fat bran muffins and whole grain cereal are just some of the foods which should be a part of your breakfast. It is also wise to incorporate some dairy into your morning menu. Dairy is very easy to incorporate each and every day. Yogurt, cheese and 1% milk are just a few of the possible choices.

Recent study also confirms that every meal we consume should contain protein and fiber. When we consume these two compounds we are more likely to lose weight. Aside from the best diet pills and weight loss supplements (such as protein shakes), fiber has been known to improve metabolism and decrease the amount of calories that get stored in the body. That is why it is important to eat a protein and fiber rich breakfast. These are just a few tips regarding the most important meal of the day.
